Veterans Haven Inc operates two food programs, one specifically for Veterans and the second for seniors, low income, and disabled individuals. Our program assists those in need throughout Wayne County and surrounding communities.

Any Veterans that is honorably discharged and is laid off, unemployed, or disabled can qualify for this program. Veterans can pick up food any day of the week during normal business hours of 9:00 am - 12:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Emergency situations can call (734) 728-0527 and leave a message. You will receive a response the same day.

On Wednesdays from 9 am to 12:30 pm additional food is distributed to Veterans, seniors and others (proof of income and ID required). The food that is distributed consists of canned goods, dry goods, various fruits and vegetables, crackers, cookies, juices and milk (meats and other frozen items for Vets only), courtesy of Gleaners Food Bank.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Veterans Haven will resume the Wednesday food distribution beginning August 29th. The new staging area is directly across Wayne Road from the center. Cars will line up and volunteers will load the food into the cars. Veterans seeking their monthly "Vet Packs" can obtain those at the center.
